James grew up as something of a nomad, bouncing around the country with his family, ultimately spending the majority of his formative years in Tennessee and Alaska. After studying mechanical engineering in college, he dove into manufacturing, heading up efforts at brands like Burton Snowboards, Skullcandy, and Owlet Baby Care. In his off-hours, you can find him tending to his family’s beehives, spending time out in nature fishing and riding his dirt bikes. He lives in the mountains of Utah with his wife Melissa, two of his four children, Weston, Spencer, Clara, and Taran, and their French Bulldog Sophie.
Pete grew up splitting his time between Alamogordo, NM and Port Arthur, Texas. After studying industrial design in college, he became the first industrial designer at Fossil. He moved on to head up design at other brands like Vestal and Skullcandy. His passion for art, design and music have guided his career path while his entrepreneurial nature has him spending nights and weekends building his other brands Zooz Bikes and Matters. He lives in the mountains of Utah with his wife Diane, daughters Sophie and Sammie, rescue husky mix Bo, two cats, Luna and Kiki, and a rotating cast of foster dogs and cats.
Julia grew up in New Jersey (South Jersey to be exact…). After attending Rutgers University, she jumped into marketing, starting in the non-profit world, then branching out to both the music and publishing industries. As a serious music fan and a self-described “rabid” audiobook listener, Know was the perfect blend of her passions. When she’s not enjoying the mountains, you can find her reading, BBQing, or buying and selling antiques. She lives in the mountains of Utah with her husband John, Golden Retriever Special Agent Dale Cooper, and her two flat-faced cats, Ming the Merciless and Wicket.
